Let's see what everybody thinks. Comments encouraged, but keep it civil and provide logic for your reasoning.

No need. There's one champion every year, we have exciting semis and finals (last year was an exception). It goes in trends as to where the best teams are located.

When ICW beat CF with a Nate Kaeding FG that was when the state stepped in and split the playoffs into east and west. That year CF beat Valley and I think Heelan on the road first and second round.

Pretty good voting turn-out for it being two days before football Thursday and only having run for about half the day.

I see myself kind of in the middle between every year and only when it's obvious they're both on the same side. The part of me saying do it every year, it gives a little more opportunity for teams on opposite sides of the state to play. Just for example, if Burlington and Council Bluffs Lewis Central were to make it that far, they could be paired in a semifinal. Otherwise, they would each have to make the championship. And that's a one shot chance at facing someone potentially never before seen. Semifinals match-ups could bear as many as three of those every fall. And, to me, that's worth the interest right there.
