Playoff Question

I haven't had that situation come up in the past 9 seasons. So, I'm not sure.
I think if the team you lost to was a really close game. You want them to win out and win big.
I always want to see the teams in my district win.
As a Western Christian fan, I also pull for our "sister" schools: Unity, Des Moines Christian, and Pella Christian.

If it's a rival school I'd prefer to see them get spanked to avoid the obnoxious attitudes of said school's fans the next year. If it's a non rival area school maybe quietly root them on. Random previous playoff opponent- probably indifferent unless they ran the score up late or something.
I always want to see the team who beats us succeed. It at least gives me the illusion that we were second best to them (assuming we didn't play any of the other playoff teams.) I know it's flawed logic, but it's fan emotion.
I've really let go of rivalry's. I like seeing them played, but really kind of hate the hype - let the boys play quality matchups - play hard on the field, then walk off respecting your opponent and earning their respect. That's what HS football should be all about.

When out of the playoffs, I will cheer for teams from our district or the team that beat us or who ever is playing Iowa City Ragina.
