It's a return to the old days of waiting to see who qualified/advanced before pairing the next round. At least in the internet age we won't have to wait until 36 hours later to read it in the paper. Hopefully the IHSAA doesn't wait until the morning after to release each round online.

I really think that this will work better, you may see some district games early on with some parts of the state being so isolated, but having kids travel 3 hours on a school night is rough.
So will the state still do 1st round matchups as 1 seed vs. 4 seed and 2 seed vs. 3 seed ?
Or will it be a geographically based seedless crapshoot with the home game going to the highest district finishers?
