Okay, so I really went deep into nerdland and built a matrix for the final two weeks, which consists of all the possible outcomes for all the teams still with a chance for the playoffs. I know, right? You've been waiting breathlessly for this for days!!
Anyhoo, the following is just a discussion of what each team needs to happen to make it in. No predictions here, just possibilities.
SERGEANT BLUFF-LUTON makes the playoffs with a win; couple it with a Storm Lake loss and they clinch the district.
STORM LAKE wins the district if they win out; if they beat Spencer and Heelan loses a game, they're in.
HEELAN needs to win out, with at least one loss from both Storm Lake and Spencer.
SPENCER is in with two wins plus a win by SBL; they can get in by beating Storm Lake if Storm Lake also loses to SBL, and Heelan and Spirit Lake each lose a game.
SPIRIT LAKE has to win out, have Spencer lose, and Storm Lake must either win out or lose out.
DALLAS CENTER-GRIMES is in with a win; if they beat Boone they clinch the district.
WEBSTER CITY is in with a win over Boone plus a DC-G win, unless Boone beats DC-G and Ballard wins out, then there's a big ol' tie.
BOONE wins the district if they win out; if they beat Webster City they're in the playoffs (unless Ballard wins out or DC-G loses out).
BALLARD must win out, have Webster City lose out, and have Boone lose to DC-G.
XAVIER is in. They clinch the district with a win.
WAVERLY-SHELL ROCK is in with a win. They still make it if they lose twice, if Decorah also loses twice and Independence loses to Benton.
DECORAH must win out and have Waverly-Shell Rock lose out.
INDEPENDENCE must win out and have Waverly-Shell Rock lose out.
WEST DELAWARE wins the district if they beat Marion; any win gets them in the playoffs.
MARION wins the district if they win out; if they beat Davenport Assumption and Wahlert loses a game, they also make it in.
ASSUMPTION is in with a win over Marion plus a win by West Delaware.
DUBUQUE WAHLERT must win out, have Assumption lose out, and have Marion lose to West Delaware.
SOLON is in, and clinches the district with a win.
The winner of WASHINGTON vs OSKALOOSA is in.
PELLA clinches the district with a win.
NORWALK is in if they beat Carlisle (unless Nevada wins out).
CARLISLE is in if they beat Norwalk (unless Pella loses out, then there's a tie).
NEVADA must win out and have either Norwalk or Carlisle lose out, essentially (there's some other weird results in there, but that's the gist of it).
HARLAN wins the district with a win.
GLENWOOD clinches the playoffs by beating Winterset (unless Harlan loses out and Denison-Schleswig wins out).
WINTERSET is in by beating Glenwood (unless Denison-Schleswig wins out).
DENISON-SCHLESWIG must win out, then have a win by Winterset or two losses from Harlan.
