Phaydavong to SEP

Scott Phaydavong has been hired to replace Brad Zelenovich as OC and backs coach at SEP. Previously at Carroll Kuemper and Urbandale.

Don't know much about him, except from his playing days....good hire for Polk???

Personally I think it is a good hire. Scott appears to be a good young coach and was a great athlete at East and Drake. He may even be groomed to be the head coach in a few more years. My biggest concern at this point it the QB position coach. I think Zelenovich handled that as well and did a great job developing that position. I'm not sure who will be picking up that role now that he is gone. SEP has been very diverse offensively over the past few years and the passing game was very important.

He has been hired as an asst coach but I am pretty sure that a coach already on the staff has been named the OC.

Really? Didn't realize that we had someone on staff with that experience? Who would that be J?

I had heard that Jason Nolting was promoted to the OC.
