Linn Mar is the Valley of the east. And once they get the right guy there, there is no Dowling in the east. Just not sure if James is the one to do it.

No doubt Bettendorf is great program. I'm saying LM has everything you need. Big money, resources, one feeder system, big and growing population, awesome stadium and facilities.
Linn Mar would be more like Waukee, big school district with tremendous growth in the last 20 years (doubled in size, not 20 times like Waukee), with a high socioeconomic background and good facilities.
People forget that Linn Mar won back-to-back state championships when Greg Purnell was the coach. It just takes the right coach and program-builder. As everyone has said, Linn-Mar has all the pieces.
It's interesting that Linn-Mar is seen as this sleeping giant. Their best days were 25 years ago and they have been up and down under Forsyth the last 10. Are there a lot of athletes at the school? I know they had good basketball but are they good at any other sports? It will be telling of James' coaching ability.
Coach James has some gas left in the tank and liked the chance to build a program from the ground up. I hate to see him leave Washington but wish him the best.
