Team Strengths:

Rebounding and post play

Question Marks:

Outside shooting and ball handling

Overview:

With five players on their roster 6-foot-4 and taller, Gilbert is going to be a
huge team this year. Senior Loren Liming returns in the low post and was a
pain to stop inside. If he can continue improving, this standout has a
chance to average a double-double. Outside of Liming, the Tigers also
return starters Mike Oppold and Chris Oberender. This duo averaged nearly
fifteen points per game and will be counted on to see more looks offensively.
Gilbert also brings back a solid nucleus of players who saw action last year.
Although most of it was not extensive, they were given a taste of varsity
action. Look for that to pay off this season in the Heart of Iowa
Conference.
