Team Strengths:
Returning players and quickness
Question Marks:
Rebounding and shooting
Overview:
As seen in their record last year, Essex
had a difficult non-conference schedule and continued to improve by the time
conference play rolled around. The Trojans eventually won seven of their
nine total games in conference play. Overall the team lost one starter but
he was seen more as a role player. Coming back for the team are four
starters, each who averaged over five points per game. That scoring power
may be tough to stop in the Corner Conference, especially if they can find a
consistent outside shooter. Leading the team in scoring and rebounding
last year was Will Young. This senior will likely average double digits
and his rebounding total should increase as well.
