Experience
Overview:
Midway through the season, people knew Ankeny was a decent team capable of
giving teams a fight. With their eventual run to the State tournament, the
Hawks changed that perception by knocking off some of the top teams in Iowa.
They may have eventually came up short to Linn-Mar in that first round game but
few picked Ankeny to make it into the State tournament. The team was hit
hard by graduation but returns one of the most talented guards in Nate Nygren.
They senior nearly averaged 15 points per game and will be better this winter.
