Once again...

...good luck to the Fearsome Eagle Beasts as they attempt to exorcise the Devils (Green variety)!
I’ll take the fearsome eagle beast by 35 and they cruise to an easy win. Looking at osages losses to this points tells me that west Hancock should have no problem and handle them

Man, Osage has a brutal first 3 game schedule!
Week #1 vs Clear Lake #2 2A
Week #2 vs St. Ansgar #3 A
Week #3 vs Britt-WH #1 A

There can't be a team in the state of Iowa in any class that has a tougher schedule to start the season than that!

How about Regina? Xavier, Pella Christian Williamsburg, no picnic for them either.
What about them? Their schedule isn't nearly as tough as Osage's schedule to start the season. Xavier, yes extremely tough, but Anamosa week #2 isn't what I'd call a powerhouse team.

I thought Osage would be better with so many returning. I was at the West Branch-Osage game last year. Thought Osage was very athletic , very good quarterback, but they were much smaller up front, and had problems protecting him. They had some trouble running the ball . Terrific skill people, those receivers were excellent. Wish them well this year.

Isn't Pella Christian 0-2, Anamosa 0-2 and Williamsburg 1-1? Yes Xavier is a top notch team, but when you compare Osage's first three games to Regina's first three games there is no comparison

Williamsburg got beat by 3A runnerup Western Dubuque last week. They have most of their players back and are one of the favorites to win this year. Part of my point. That loss to Western Dubuque will count the same as Osage -West Hancock.West Hancock is a really team but guessing they would be 1-1 if they had played Western Dubuque. . Personally I would rather play West Hancock. Good Class "A" school but they aren't beating Western Dubuque either.

Regina doesn't play Western Dubuque, but Osage does play West Hancock. So are you now agruing that Williamsburg has a tough schedule or still on Regina?
I agree that Western Dubuque would beat West Hancock, thats a 3A school going against an A school. That being said, I bet the Western Dubuque kids would physically be beat up after going against those bruisers from Britt.

Not really for either school. No real interest in either but I am saying the RPI needs to be tweaked. I wasn't the one that said Williamsburg had a weak schedul .

West Hancock sure handed Osage there business. Although Osage is not a good team, it was once again a very impressive win for the eagles. Can anyone compete with these guys this year?

Yes i believe a couple schools could. I doubt any Class A school can shut down West Hancock's running game but there are a couple school's that might beat them in a higher scoring shootout. If South Winn makes the playoffs they could be dangerous, they have by far the best passing game in Class A football.

I agree with that take. Last year west hancocks losses were to teams that either passed the ball really well, or had a better line. If you have one of those you have a great shot at beating them. However I do not believe anyone has as good of a line as them, so your going to have to beat them through the air. South Winn, Wapsie, North Tama would be tough matchups with west Hancock
