Looks like another potential round of realignment is coming.

George-Little Rock, easily the smallest school in the Siouxland, has applied to join the War Eagle in '23-'24.

That leaves the Siouxland with 9 teams. They've been consistent in saying 10 is the preferred/max number. Unity and Western applications are already on file.

If forced to choose between the two, that's who I'd take.

I believe it to be a clean trade with Unity going to Siouxland and GLR to War Eagle.

I still am in favor of a Lakes, Siouxland, War Eagle super conference with 3 levels based on #'s and can realign every 3-4 years or so

• The expressed preference of the Siouxland Superintendents and Athletic Directors is to maintain the ten-team membership.
• The replacement of George-Little Rock with Unity Christian allows the Siouxland Conference to retain the desired ten-team membership. G-LR and Unity Christian would switch places in their respective conferences/schedules, thus allowing for a seamless transition for the 2023-2024 school year.
• If/when another school chooses to exit the Siouxland Conference, Western Christian, and any other applicants, will be given consideration for membership.
