As far as your recent posts. Very true, things happen in families that have effects. Did the bashers consider that when posting about the West and Pekin transfers? Disparaging the kids, host family, the school without knowing what happened or the motivation? They(you) did not. You kept up with it, hell you tore down one of your all time greats(not Marv, some in WB have done that) because he went to help out at Regina. Have there been multiple DB posts about how Regina joined the conference, taking shots along the way? Yup. Calling someone a lightening rod? Take a look at your history and see how that fits. I don't believe I have taken personal shots at any kids or families. The same isn't always reciprocated. Misrepresentations, made up stories, lack of evidence is par for the course. The only things I have is information from people from WB who I have trusted in the past and the dates and addresses not matching timelines. When all is said and done it's a game and some have taken it personal. We all have a story, we all face hardships, my kids have open enrolled and gone to private schools, no single home two parent family and definitely not affluent. Welcome back to the board, game on.

Which, for being at a Catholic school, seems to be a bit ironic. I know Riley Dixon's family and know what happened 5 years ago. I know that kids are picked up on a bus in Southern Cedar Rapids and in Shueyville and in Swisher that go to Regina.
I know that kids are picked up in Oskaloosa and Grinnell on a bus for school at Pella Christian.
Those are things that a bus from West Branch (or Pella HS or ICCSD) drivers are not legally allowed to do.
We can continue to play this game all day. The fact remains: West Branch has less than 20 kids who open enroll at the HS. Regina (and every other private school) has 100% open enrollment. That's another card you like to play a lot "this kid open enrolled and is your QB." You're right. Cornwell did open enroll as a freshman. His family also looked at attending CCA, Solon, and West Liberty before deciding on West Branch.

So the kids that get picked up by those busses, (I am sure you know how the bussing situation got that way after the Iowa City school district made their decision) made the same type of decision that your QB made, the same type of decision that other top players have made at all kinds of schools. If you know the situation from 5 years ago you know the factors to led to that. Next time they should bring in an all state quality player. It's working elsewhere.

You are claiming 'do' rather than 'can' I would be surprised if buses went to Cedar Rapids to get kids. As a private school I would think the limo with driver would be the choice but maybe they want to see how the public schools do it. FYI they have to pay to use buses now no matter the location unlike their free loading public school buses.

I hate to bring up confirmation of a source (no pun intended), but do you know any kids from Shueyville, Swisher, or CR that ride this bus??? No names necessary. Perhaps you are referring to the "Magic Bus" on IPTV.

He simply asked if you could confirm the people who ride a bus from Cedar Rapids and Shueyville to Regina. Pretty simple request for someone who appears to be omniscient, it should be pretty easy.

It's pretty clear here. I haven't mentioned people by name, Cornwell is an OE so no issue there. The WL situation seems interesting in that there is a person saying the family moved at a certain date and the county information doesn't support that but it is what it is. Hopefully you have been around for the start of this fiasco to read families and schools be run through the mud, by name for things that aren't factually true or are only partially true. Currently there was a claim that Regina sends busses to Cedar Rapids, WB didn't want to back that up and decided to leave. I wish that was the case when I lived in NL so my kids didn't need to walk to the bus stop. I haven't ran when I was wrong, admitted it and moved on. I try to research what I am talking about and try to substantiate what I type. Not all on here do that. Any questions for me feel free to ask, if I am wrong point it out. However don't expect me to blindly go with the 'because I said so' or 'I am great friends with...' as certified truths.
Can you all just agree to disagree? You will never see eye to eye and this discussion will inevitably continue for as long as this board is around (or West Branch beats Regina).
