Will Monte run the table after their win over belle Plaine in district 7. Belle Plaine took the opening kick and scored first but Monte answered with 2 quick scores to make it 14-8 in the first. No scoring again until 6 minutes left in fourth when BP went for it on 4rth and 1 from own 46 and got stuffed. BP seemed to go flat and Monte scored 2 quick TD's to make a close game look a bit more one side than it was. Monte is big and will punish teams with their run game. Stevens is the real deal. The question is can they rally if they get behind late in a game. BGM may be the only team left that can match their physical play. Colfax Mingo can score but can they stop Montes offense? I think they run the table. Thoughts?

Fun fact.

Montezuma is the last 1A team (back then) to beat Iowa City Regina, who is currently 1A, in the regular season. The year was 2006.......

I saw that and figured this was as good a place as any to drop that stat.....that and I didn't really know where else to.
