Live Web Streaming here

Why the stream isn't working is because it is only on Comcast this year for TV, which is stupid that it isn't on channels like 9.2 out of CR and 23 out of DSM. So if you don''t have cable they don't want you to be able to stream it either.

I was able to stream it at work and I don't have a Comcast account.... not sure why you guys are having issues.

EDIT: I guess via IP address they can figure out where you are and block certain areas?

Looks like a big portion of Iowa will not be able to watch any state football.
IAHSAA chose to go with an option that excludes customers of the largest cable carriers for several markets in Iowa.
We don't even have the option to subscribe and pay for it.

One more example of how the Iowa Girls Union does it better.

I was able to watch the first half, then it shut me out as soon as they broke for halftime. Listening to it online now.

HLP players all have a number on the back of their helmets, but the numbers aren't their jersey number????

Congrats to Harris-Lake Park. Very entertaining game. Good luck next week and take down Don Bosco. It would be nice if you were to run the score up on them. Like they did today.

Thanks Voice! I wouldn't hold my breath on beating DB by a big margin, but they will have a chance to win this game. The guys really played well and the coaches had a great game plan vs FM. Nice win against a power house program.

Either you didn't watch the game or don't know what running it up means. Which is it?

Bosco did play all of their JV both sides of the ball early into the second half and even played some kids in positions they don't normally play late in that game. Starting QB Brandon Bagby had very very limited touches after an early lead was established. The Dons defense scored a couple times which added to the total.
They maybe could have taken a knee on their last possession. But I also understand giving reps to kids who will hope to have an opportunity to compete for a title in the next few seasons. It helps get them prepared for being in those situations as well as giving their parents and grandparents a chance to enjoy seeing them play on the big stage.
I suspect there is still some motivation there from a rain delayed game Midland coaches refused to finish last season when one of the Midland coaches mentioned not really caring to finish due to " having bigger fish to fry next week ". Those types of statements can provide a lot of motivation to players and coaches for years. Right wrong or otherwise, it is what it is.
I'm very proud of the hard working kids in the Bosco program, and I really enjoyed watching them compete and dominate yesterday.
Good luck to all of the hard working kids and coaches from all teams still playing. I hope they all can remain healthy and enjoy chasing their dreams next week. Go Dons !

P.S. If the Don Bosco kids do happen to get throttled next week, like they did by MMC a few years ago, I hope they come away from it with a commitment to stay focused on working hard to get better, and not on what the other guys should have done.

Obviously you're still butthurt about a non district game that wasn't finished a year ago, and also a game that wasn't finished due to us having a full season. Playing 2 varsity games in 1 week against even 1 talented team and 1 mediocre team would be foolish as its just asking for injuries. Congrats don bosco on winning the semifinal, we hope to see you there again next year. And actually Christiansen was at Midland quite a few years ago...

No butt hurt going on here at all. I totally get your position on the games played in a short period of time . I just feel the " bigger fish to fry " was an incredibly rude and disrespectful comment. Especially coming from one coach to another. I think had it been put the way you put it in your post, the situation would have been understood perfectly. An obnoxious jab like that towards a coach who is a class act by all accounts was not cool. Coach Yoder's kids will run thru a brick wall for him anyway, let alone an incident like that occur. Enough said on it I think. You can have the last word on it if you like. The Midland kids are tough hard nosed players. I wish them all the luck in the future.

Last year had nothing to do what happened yesterday. DB was already 40 points better than midland before their stud QB went down. You take out the best player and shuffle everything around and it goes from a 40 point game to 70 point game. No need to drudge up last year...especially on speculation.

Great job boys assoc! Make it impossible for many Iowans to watch the semi finals and also the state basketball tourney. Wonder why anyone can easily watch the girls events?

I will be contacting iahsaa about this as well as the major sponsors (Pizza Ranch, Mid-American Energy, Hy-Vee) of ihssn to let them know of this idiotic change.
