i was looking at texas christian depth chart, and he is now the #2 qb there on their depth chart. wow, i did not think he would elevate that fast on the depth chart. i thought he might get there in 3rd year or so,,,and maybe, ....qb in division 1 football is toughl...there is actually talk that duggan may start the next game, i quess he is very close of being the starter. duggan did not start, but did play a lot saturday.......so max duggan was the real deal.

Delton was more impressive running the ball (67 yards rushing on seven carries) than passing (10 for 22 for 119 yards). Duggan led all three of the Horned Frogs' touchdown drives and finished 16-for-23 passing for 165 yards.

Very happy for the kid. He looked right at home leading the offense. I think he may get the nod next week. Best wishes to him. Ride the rollercoaster and enjoy it!

i am still wondering why lewis central did not beat xavier last year, they were such a good team . max duggan at qb, he was dominate all year till that game , and then he looked somewhat controlled.

Well, might have something to do with the fact that Xavier was really, really good. There is also the “dome effect” in that teams can play like a deer in headlights when they haven’t had much experience there. Regardless, LC has a fantastic year last year.

Interesting point, I think there's possibly something to this. I know the "turf" in the dome is different from the typical field turf (not talking about natural surface) many schools are used to playing on, let alone the "inside" effect. As a spectator it's great but there's something to be said for playing in the elements.

As far as Max Duggan, I believe Harlan coach Bladt said Max was the best player he( Coach Bladt) had faced over his incredible coaching career.

Curt Bladt has won 412 of 474 football games in the 41 years he’s been the Harlan Community head football coach, a staggering .869 winning percentage.

After facing Lewis Central’s Max Duggan on Friday night, a reporter’s first comment to Bladt was, “Well, you’ve faced some pretty good quarterbacks in your tenure.’’

“Not that good,’’ Bladt shot back without hesitation. “Ever. Nobody’s even in his league.

you might be right, i know coach bladt praised him when he was a freshman, that he had some wheels on him...and had to face him 3 more years

it did look like xavier had some big linemen that moved with authority, probably had a lot to do with it

I once asked Coach Bladt who the best player he had ever faced was- at that time it was the tailback/running back from Heelan. Guess Duggan has taken over.

i watched max on youtube, playing his first college game, and he did not look like a freshman, but more like a senior for the most part...

It's a long season but he is very composed. What's really impressive about Max is he isn't a bad guy-Western Iowa can root for him and he will be grateful.

class guy from what i have seen of him, and he is a gifted player. to play as a freshman in d1, u got to say, wow, he was really good. i have watched him a few times in high school, he knew how to win, and being the coaches kid, helps. i wonder if max duggans dad moved to texas?
