Laurens-Marathon football

Just read an article in the Storm Lake paper where it sounds like Laurens-Marathon will be joining with one of 3 schools come July 17th for this coming season in all sports. Options sound like Poky-Pom-Pal, Sioux Central or West Bend-Mallard. If so one less 8 man team for this upcoming season.

Heartland Christian has also dropped football for the upcoming season. Seems pretty late to be making that decision. It really leaves the other teams in their districts hang out to dry.

Do you have a link for this article? Then only thing I found was for 2014 season. Not doubting you, just can't find anything that says for next year. I think we are going to see a lot of this in next year or so.

It was just a 2 paragraph blurb I saw in the Storm Lake paper at a relative's place. The paper it was in (Storm Lake Times) has the most unfriendly internet site so I cannot give you a link. Sorry !
