Junior High Shot Put weight

Anyone know what the Junior High shot put weights are for the boys and girls?

Boys is 8 lbs, girls I don't know

They're both 8, but I also see alot of 4k shots floating around meets, which would be 8.8

This is straight from the IHSAA Junior High Sports Manual. So, I would assume if someone is allowing an 8 lbs. shot, then they are giving those kids an unfair advantage.

They are suppose to be 4k (8.8lbs) now same as high school girls.
