...good luck tonight to the Fearsome Eagle Beasts as they wage war against the good folks of Nashua-Plainfield-Horton! 50 years ago this season, Nashua upset the team I was a 3rd string OT/4th string TE on in the season opener. (I had the rare privilege of being both skinny AND slow.)

You must be way older than the impression I've gotten from your post . Wasn't it somewhere in the 70's BGM won state or almost before it was classified? I've played there in FB as a visitor in 84. Been to lots of track, basketball and baseball games with my kids since in SICL. TC had a good game to finish the year, didn't pull out the win but a good showing and in it till the end. My last player scored twice with his teammates help.

Crazy how we the girls did in softball, 3 of the final 8 were out of SICL.

Actually I'm just a spring chicken: Age 67. I plan to keep going strong in this area until age 95. Then I plan to move to Jamaica and start a new career.

Trying to decide whether I should drag my feeble aged carcass over to the Big Sioux River for the Beasts' next battle. At 852 years of age, I'm not sure it's in the cards.
With that said, I would encourage the rest of the Beast Nation to make the epic trek over to Hawarden (and post results to the IAHSFB Twitter feed).

I would have to disagree. Iowa State's win was probably better than all those things combined. Just sayin.

But this is a high school forum so I won't go there.
Hopefully Saint Ansgar and West Hancock meet again in the championship game.
There would be an awful lot of red in the stands, and would be a great game.
