It is interesting to see only one undefeated team left at this point. However, I really like that these top teams in 2A challenged themselves pretty good in the non-district games. The top ten teams above have 12 losses total, and 7 of them came in non-district play to teams that are ranked in the top ten in other classes. Another 3 of the 12 losses are to teams within this 2A top ten.

Non-district games played by each 2A team:
1) NFV - beat two historically good 3A schools in Decorah and Waverly-Shell Rock
2) Mt. Vernon - lost to 3A top ten teams Solon and West Delaware
3) BHRV - played two stud 1A schools, splitting with Western Christian and West Lyon
4) New Hampton - beat 3A Charles City, and beat 2A top ten Waukon
5) Williamsburg - split with 3A Fairfield and South Tama
6) Union - shut out both 3A Marion and Vinton-Shellsburg
7) PCM - beat A top ten Montezuma, and lost to 1A #2 (undefeated) Pella Christian (who would be top ten in 2A and 3A in my opinion, very good team this year)
8) Carroll Kuemper - beat 3A Greene County and lost to A #4 (undefeated) CBSA
9) DNH - lost by three to 1A #4 (undefeated) Denver and lost by three to A #3 (undefeated) Gladbrook-Reinbeck
10) Waukon - beat MFL (OK, that's a cupcake) and lost to 2A #4 New Hampton
