Getting closer. Still think you are too high on Glidden and not high enough on Don Bosco and Coon Rapids. Sidney and possibly Wayne have a lot to prove to be at 5 and 6. Sidney will get their shot this week though at Fremont Mills to prove they belong there. Wayne....might not be till playoffs after looking at their district slate. If Nurness was still at Murray, last Friday's game would have been their test. Here is how I would have my top 10:

1.) Fremont Mills
2.) Exira-EHK
3.) Don Bosco
4.) HLV
5.) Coon Rapids-Bayard
6.) Turkey Valley
7.) Central Elkader
8.) Glidden Ralston
9.) Wayne
10.) Sidney

On the doorstep looking to come in: MMC, Graettinger Terril, West Bend Mallard, East Mills

I think would agree with the BC Moore rating for 09/5. Has F-M working towards earning what ever ranking they have.

Wayne should get challenged by Melcher-Dallas in a few weeks. Maybe they'll surprise me and blow them away, but I doubt it. I don't think they belong in the top 10 (and I'm a Wayne grad), but they do have one of the state's best running backs. That should be enough to go 9-0, but I don't expect them to get any further than the quarterfinals, and getting that far is totally dependent on who they play in the first two rounds.

Results are telling me that Don Bosco and Central (Elkader) are not rated where they should be. Those two teams along with Janesville in eastern Iowa are going to give teams nightmares. Turkey Valley is still too high. They were tested by a Riceville team that might be the best 0-2 team in 8 player. Things are just heating up!!
