Who else should be in the top 5, if not one of those two teams? I could maybe see an argument for MMC, but none of the other teams in the top 10 behind Elkader deserve to be ranked higher.

I don't get how Turkey Valley, who got demolished by elkader is still in top 10. MMC should take their spot. Otherwise I have no problem with the rest as of now.

Curious as to what the basis for your opinion is.

CE- 2878 rushing and receiving yds
DB- 2414 rushing and receiving yds

Both have played weaker competition until last week

The only common opponent was Springville, which CE won 76-29, and DB won 72-14

CE's opponents are combined 14-22 (including TV)
DB's opponents are combined 17-19 (including HLV)

Scoring?

CE ranked 1st in scoring and 12th in defense
DB ranked 3rd in scoring and 5th in defense

Not sure how you can make a blunt statement like that...just curious. I think a stronger argument could be CR-B.

How can you say Elkader is better than bosco? Both teams are playing well.

We are getting closer obviously. I think after that Turkey Valley win, Central Elkader needs to be higher. Not many people would have guessed they would have rolled Turkey Valley by 30. Here is how I would have mine:

1.) Fremont Mills
2.) Exira- EHK
3.) Central Elkader
4.) Coon Rapids Bayard
5.) Don Bosco
6.) Glidden Ralston
7.) MMC
8.) Graettinger Terril
9.) West Bend Mallard
10.) HLV

Teams knocking on the door: Janesville, Turkey Valley, Lamoni

I think teams 1-5 are awfully close right now. Any one of them can probably be flipped around any which way between them and probably have an argument for why they are. Glidden is still a big unknown for me. We will know more about them this Friday when they travel to Coon Rapids. Bottom 4 are awfully close as well. I kept HLV in rather than Turkey Valley simply because from what it sounds they kept right in it with Don Bosco unlike TV getting thumped by 30 points vs Central Elkader. Janesville and Lamoni I am not sold on yet either. Just weak competition they have played and until they are really tested by someone quality I can't get enough urge to put them in my top 10.
