How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“The season was just amazing, I got really close with my teammates.”

Have you been pleased with how you have played this season?
“I’m pleased with how I played this season, I just wish I could’ve done more.”

How do you feel your team has played?
“The team sacrificed a lot and played with everything they had.”

What do you feel your team can improve on?
“I think as a team we can improve on everything, that’s the goal to keep getting better.”

What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“I think leadership and accountability will be the keys to our future success.”

How did the high school football season go overall?
“Overall I feel like obviously our season hasn’t gone the way we wanted and expected, but I’m happy with the strides my teammates are making this offseason to be successful for next season.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“My plan for the winter is to lift and get my weight up and be in the weight room with the guys until track season in the spring. Summer is the grind season and I’m excited to see who’s all there.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“Our team is making the right strides to be successful for next season and I’m really happy with how our team matured through a tough season.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“We don’t know the teams we play next but we welcome any competitor we face next year and will play our hearts out.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“We don’t know yet, I apologize I can’t answer that one.”

How did the high school football season go overall?
“I believe it was a starting point with a new coach and a very young team.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I will be playing basketball, track and a lot of lifting and football till next season.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“Next season I believe Des Moines Lincoln will be a team to look out for with the chemistry and the amount of seniors and juniors starting.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Rival teams will always have a competitive edge with us because of the hype towards the game.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“Jecari Patton for Des Moines East will be a good player going against us, being able to run and throw the ball well means we will have to game plan well against him.”

How did the high school football season go overall?
“The 2022 football season did not go as planned for us. Going into summer I thought the team was solid. Very young group of kids. We played our best we could although we came up short with a 1-8 record.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I do not play any winter sports so as of right now I’ve just been lifting every day.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“We did not graduate many seniors this year so I feel we will have a very solid team, great coaching staff and many great potential players.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“The toughest competition will probably be PV, they are always a very solid team and hard to play against.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“The toughest player will probably be Joey Vanwetzinga, a very solid player no matter where he is at.”

How did the high school football season go overall?
“Our season started off slow, we played some tough teams but then towards the end of the year we started to play well and win.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“The off-season for me started right when our season ended. I plan to workout every day to get stronger and run track in the spring to gain some speed.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“Next year I think we will be good. We have a lot of talent, we will just need to have a lot of players to step up this next season [due to] losing some good players.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“We don’t know our next season’s schedule as of right now, but I’m sure every opponent will be tough and we will need to be ready.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“Since we don’t know our schedule I’m not sure who specifically will be the best player we face but I know there are a lot of returning 4a players that will be very good.”
