Pine you are right these refs are terrible... That pass interference call on DNH was bogus!
To bad DNH can't hold onto the ball, because they would be winning this game. They keep giving Regina a short field.

But were they all the size of 1A offensive linemen? Certainly Drew Cook was even bigger than Stenger.
Are you seriously gonna complain about officiating after last Friday's ridiculously one-sided affair?
Moving them to 4A and cutting their roster in half to make it fairer to said 4A opponents.
And by roster I mean coaching staff and strength and conditioning staff.
That should even the playing field.

Wow that was a physical game. I think every back and QB limped off the field. Turnovers were the difference. Was impressed with both teams.
Couple of notes, a mis marked grounding call doesn't make it one sided, some missed calls all the way around, a blatant missed facemask(picture in paper missed) led to a change of possession and a Bears score and

Regina and Dike both played a tough but sloppy game .Silly penalties committed by both teams. Hats off to DNH for a great season. Personally i was much more concerned about the West Branch game.Not taking anything away from DNH, but i thought WB was a better team.Maybe the state should seed teams through the semi finals.I realize geography, logistics etc.are taken into account.
This Regina team is not as good as any of the five previous Regina teams have been over the last five years. Look very beatable, especially without Nick Phillips.. Will be interesting to see if they can get #6, although they may have already done their heavy lifting to win the title again.
It would have been interesting to see the outcome had Dike played a clean game. Six fumbles, losing four of those, makes it tough to beat anyone.But Regina's defense did cause those and good teams take advantage of what they are given.
The fumble when the score was tied at 14-14 in the 3rd quarter and Dike had the momentum really hurt.
Even without Phillips, they are probably the best team in Class 1A. What does it look like next year for them? Do they have a lot of talent coming back and does it look like they will be 1A again?

I think they will be 1A again unless something changes dramaticly. It will be interesting to watch how they put the team together next year. Seeing the changes occur from year to year. Some good players returning and some good players that will graduate.
It might be Regina's most impressive season of the last 6 considering the talent they lost last year and the significant injuries they have faced.
I don't think DNH or WB overcome losing Johnson or Lenoch the way Regina has been able adjust to the loss of Phillips. It's been a true team effort.
