IMG (FL) vs Mater Dei (CA) for those interested

this video is matching probably 2 of the better high school football teams in the united states. there are some that believe img should not be playing high school football...img is where the sioux city heelan kid went to play if i remember correctly, forgot his name (Brandon Wegher maybe) ....mater dei has 16 d1 players on it........

It was Brandon's younger brother Jack who transferred from Heelan to IMG after his freshman year in 2012. He graduated from there in 2016, went to Purdue, then transferred to UNI.

MD won 28-24.

Interesting, I had never heard of IMG. Can't imagine how expensive it must be for them to set up a schedule. I would freak out if my kids school voluntarily played them in a contact sport.

I wonder how many pro football players went to Mater Dei. They'd beat most small colleges in Iowa. That California team has been terrific for eons.

img played chandler high school ( suburb of phoenix) last year...img won 27-14.....there are a lot of big high schools in arionza, not sure if any can beat img. i went to a 4a game (5 classes in arizon) a few years ago..there were 8 d1 players on both teams....i think the 4a schools in arizona go up to 1600 enrollment...anything bigger is 5a
