Host Family

Anyone have any experience with host families for foreign exchange students? Met a kid overseas who wants to move to the US to play basketball so I'm trying to help him out. He has an AAU showcase in Orlando, but if he doesn't find a host family before or while he is here he will go back home and his family can't afford to send him here. He wants to stay here after the showcase and he has all his papers in order already.

Has to apply to local HS and the state foreign exchange program and have a host family set up ....
