I’m curious how accepted BCMoore is as it pertains to influence on media and coaches polls. Obviously it is less reliable the first 3 weeks when it utilizes prior season data, but just curious. I have always found it relatively reliable but it seems that most polls primarily look at record. Thoughts?

I think BCMoore does a very nice job and I even see he even does a run down of the top game in each class now. I will say I do look at BCMoore's rankings to help with creating my rankings. It is also very nice now to have the RPI system in place as well to help. I also use records and the eye test and some other journalism articles and rundowns.

Steady, I find it curious that for A only 4 of your top 10 are in BCMoore's top 10. Not saying I expect it to be identical but there doesn't seem to be a tremendous amount of overlap there.

Like I said I look at BCMoore's as a 1/4th of my evaluation. Also at the beginning with pre-season rankings, I look much more at what teams return over their schedule. So with that there are teams that I had in the top 10 and now as the season has gone on, team's schedules have started to play out. Some teams I had in the top 10 at one time (Pekin & Saint Ansgar) but they dropped out. Obviously teams will surprise us and many ways to look at rankings. Plenty of season left with I am sure many great games to come. I appreciate the feedback.
