Guessing After Week 7

Okay, so, I made some assumptions, guessed at some outcomes, and plugged all the games into the RPIMasterCalculator3000™️ - and here’s what it spit out at me.

The following includes assumptions of Dallas Center-Grimes beating Carroll, Indee over Decorah, CPU over Wahlert, North Scott beating Assumption while Assumption beats Liberty, Pella over Grinnell, and Lewis Central over Glenwood, among others. Any of those (or dozens of other games) I could be totally wrong on. RPIs are based purely on 3A results after Week 7.

The RPI list, with district champs indicated with *:

The following problems arise with a normally seeded bracket:

• #9 North Scott at #8 Dallas Center-Grimes; couldn’t happen as they both would host
• #13 Carlisle at #4 Norwalk - district champ vs same district runner-up
• #11 Independence at #6 Xavier - Independence would be on the road (lowest RPI district champ) but Xavier can’t host
• Also geographically #15 Assumption at #2 Lewis Central would be a bear
