Good luck to the Fearsome Eagle Beasts as you travel to Chickasaw County to defeat the forces of Nashua-Plainfield!!!!!!!!

(DISCLAIMER: Iron Doc is not anti-Nashua or anti-Plainfield; he is simply PRO BEASTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Not that I care so much about small school HS football, but why all the cut blocking? Hard to believe an Iowa HOF coach would teach that

You serious Clark?

I wasn't there, but The Beasts are NOT coached to play dirty!!!!

You can bet the farm on that!

Apparently you do not watch football or have the ability to grasp whats going on in front of you. It's clear as day on the tape.

Watch the game via tape, wow..I've never seen so much cut blocking in my life. Illegal cut blocking too.

The officials have been reprimanded, they were out of position most of the night and didn't see a lot of the cut blocks as the play moved downfield. High school kids aren't always clear on what constitutes a cut block or illegal block. It's legal in college and the NFL but not in HS. There's also a difference between a chop block and cut block, but I assume you guys already know that.

I thought he was commenting about you not caring about small town Iowa football, but have a tape of 2 small town Iowa schools. Why is that????

I was wondering the same thing. For having an opening line of not really caring, you have broken down, in detail apparently, the game film of 2 Class A Iowa football teams. Not only identifying the Illegal blocking, but also the alleged ineptitude of the officials for being out of position. I have the game tape. Please refer me to whatever points in the game you feel are in question. If you are correct, I will agree with you. Kids make unwise choices on and off the field all the time.
That being said, please do not throw a blanket statement about Coach Sanger or his staff teaching his players how to play that way.

WT??????? Why does everyone seem to have a tape of this?? I not an NP or WH person. I just like to read Doc's posts because I get a chuckle out of them. In a good way doc, loyalty is a good thing.

To have a tape, makes me think both are coaches or players or one of each. The only other option is a father of a player. If they are players, I can understand, sounded like a player statement. If a father, best to not comment on these things. If a coach, you should never comment on message boards period. Unprofessional and there is no upside so it makes you look bad. If none of these and you are an adult with a HS tape??? All I can do is shake my head in wonderment.

Maybe the better statement from me should have be I have viewed the game on Hudl. The days of exchanging film via tapes are mostly gone. I will always defend the coaching staff here at WH. It doesn't matter if I am a player, a coach, a father or an adult.

It's mainly done by Hudl or digitally recorded systems that most teams have..

Not a player, I'm 40 years old. I don't coach either team, but I'm still appalled at the amount of cut blocking that goes uncalled at some levels of Iowa HS football. I think some people put coaches on too high of a pedestal due to their record.

Since my thread has been hijacked by those who would speak disparagingly about The Beasts and their leadership (
3dgrin.r191677.gif
) once again regarding tonight's game against the good folks of Newman!!!!

Nice attempt at trying to make the coach out to be someone who teaches and coaches dirty play and unsportsman like conduct. As was said earlier, for someone who claims they don't care for small school football, you sure seem to have a lot of so called knowledge about this game. Fail!!

Thanks for steering us back on track Doc. A chilly homecoming game awaits the Eagles and the Knights from Newman Catholic. Hard to believe this is only the 6th meeting between these 2 schools. Come on down or tune in to B103 and cheer on your Beasts

Just to clarify something here, cut blocking is not illegal, if done within the free blocking zone (tackle to tackle, and within 2 yards of the line of scrimmage both ways) and if the player is not engaged with another player.

Since it's Monday already, I'd better get the FEARSOME EAGLE BEAST thread going again.

Since no blocks were chopped last Friday (
3dgrin.r191677.gif
) , I'm guessing that we won't need to worry about this thread being hijacked again. Besides, Newman fans are too classy to do that.

Therefore, by the power vested in me by Sasquatch, Elvis, and Thor, I call on The Beasts to defeat the forces of Belmond-Klemme-Goodell-Rowan this coming Friday!

(Yes, I DO talk to Sasquatch, Elvis, etc. NO I am not senile [yet].)

BEAST POWER!!!!!

Good luck to The BEASTS in their battle with North Butler tonight! The word on the street is that ESPN will be filming the game.

4A football Dad and follower, cut and chops happen every week in all classes it's not a smaller school event! BTW who exactly are the "Beasts"? Will begin to follow the team, love the support the community seems to show.

GO BEASTS

The "Fearsome Eagle Beasts" = West Hancock of Britt & Kanawha.

The community support is incredible; I'd heard about how vital the HS sports programs were to Britt when I moved to Britt back in the Jurassic Age (1978). Kanawha joined the program in 1989 and has provided its fair share of Fearsome Beasts to the program also.

Of great significance to the program is that ALL of the assistant coaches are former Fearsome Eagle Beasts themselves.

Doc,

If you can't make it to Greene to watch in person, tune in to the Home of the Eagles B103.1 KHAM Britt
OR
Stream the Eagles online at http://kiow.com/ just click on the Listen Live button

Congratulations to The BEASTS on their 36-0 win over the North half of Butler County.

Now for the big matchup with the Golden Bears!

Good luck to the Fearsome Eagle Beasts!

Saw some of the beasts in FD Saturday taking in the ICCC game at Dodger Stadium. Seth Goepel turned in another fine performance for the Tritons.

It's obvious that you don't know the diff between a chop or cut block.

Someone asked you what parts of the game you thought were in question and you ignored it. Maybe a second opinion of the situation doesn't fit your views?

Mr. Aunese:

1. The screen name is quite the Blast From The Past - it definitely gives props to the late, great Colorado QB.

2. Are you a lawyer? Just wondering from the jersey.

3. The Mountain Lions are somewhat offended by our coaching staff being dissed. That is unfortunate.

4. Mr. Cardinal asked a good question, What IS your reply?

BEASTS: Good luck tonight against the forces of Garrigan! The Worldwide Fearsome Eagle Beast Nation awaits the results!!!!!!!!!!

Doc,

The forecast calls for mild temps tonight, I think you might survive a trip across town to Sanger field. Besides we need you to bring Thor, because we need to drop a 10+ lb. hammer on the Bears. That would improve our playoff position

Whaddayasay?

Slight problem with bringing Thor - Mjolnir, his hammer, is stuck in the side of a cliff up in Winnebago County, just outside of Scarville. He has been trying to get it out of there since his latest battle last week with the Frost Giants.

I would just go up there and yank it out for him, but then he might feel inadequate. :(

In that case I will settle for Elvis and a peanut butter and banana sandwich....straight from the Jungle room

There is possibly a post-game party at the Worldwide Fearsome Eagle Beast Nation command center located under the Boone River bridge West of Britt if (A) the Beasts win (not a problem) and (B) Sasquatch gets the truckload of Jack Link's beef jerky (and steak, ribs, etc) he was guaranteed (possibly a major problem).

Sasquatch, like The Hulk, isn't real sociable without his beef jerky. Those jokers that mess with Sasquatch had better come through with the shipment.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FEARSOME EAGLE BEASTS ON THEIR GREAT WIN TONIGHT!

Way to right the ship: 0-9 > 5-4!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck in the Playoffs!!!!!!!
