Clayton Ridge @ Bellevue

Two D3 undefeated teams play for the upper hand in D3. Bellevue win locks up district title. CR win and this district gets really interesting. This district has the best chance of a 3 way tie for 1st.

LOMA @ Missouri Valley

2 of the top 3 teams in D7 here. For Missouri Valley it is a must win game. After the bad loss last week, Missouri Valley is a big underdog.

Wapello @ Wilton

Big game in deciding who will get second place in D4.

I don't think Wapello will be figured into the top 2. Sigourney-Keota or Wilton here. Those two will play on week 9. Wilton should win this one going away.

Wapello and Wilton will be forgotten in about 2 weeks. Sigourney-Keota is the clear cut #2 in that district.

Should have better weather this time around for Western vs West Lyon. That playoff game last year was a snowy slop fest.

USFhawk, what do you expect to see from West Lyon tomorrow night? I know they are usually run heavy, same again this year? Western usually tries hard to run a balanced offense but really hurt Hinton through the air. How do you think WL will match up with Western's receivers?

Should be a great game.

West Lyon will run the football. That is what West Lyon does. Last year, alot of the skilled positions were sophomores. They are a year older now and have worked hard. It will be interesting to see how it goes this year. Western is still very talented (just like last year). Their offense is tough to prepare for. They have athletes everywhere. Kooima at QB is among the best in 1A. Granstra at TB is a freak athlete. Grevengoad, Gesink, and Jansma are all great receiving options. West Lyon's secondary will be challenged. But, they saw a talented QB and offense in general last week in Hinton. I think that game will help them prepare for this one. Should be a great game.

That was a fun game to watch. Western was NOT going to run against WLs front four but the secondary just didn't have an answer for the passing game in the 4th quarter. It seemed to me WLs offense looked gassed late in the game also and really had a hard time picking up the blitz. Next year I have a feeling the district will all be looking up at West Lyon. They are going to be scary good with this bunch as Seniors. I hope they find a way into a wild card. They are easily top 16 in the state. If they do, I hope we don't have to play them again.
