Hinton @ West Lyon

Big D1 game. Hinton will be giving it everything they have. Another district loss would mean they need alot of help to make the playoffs. Both hard hitting, hard-nosed teams. Winning the turnover battle will be huge.

Wilton @ Regina

The two remaining undefeated D4 teams face off in Iowa City. Regina is the heavy favorite.


Look like there will be quite a few big games next week.

Hinton vs W Lyon will be huge for Hinton. If I interpret the criteria for the wild card spots, it seems to indicate that the first spots will be filled with teams in a 3-way or perhaps 4-way tie. If Hinton loses, they will not finish in a tie unless it is a tie for 2nd place with one of the other two teams. Not likely. It appears two losses in district competition means you are more than likely out of luck.

West Lyon vs Western Christian the following week. District 1 will be decided over the next two weeks. I am really excited to watch this District pan out. It appears to be the most difficult district in 1A.

Wilton v Regina is only big because they're both undefeated. I see the clock running continuously in this one. Congrats to Wilton on their 5-0 start. Gonna finish 7-2 at best.

We will see how this one pans out. I tend to agree. Regina seems to be clearly the more dominant team. Not sold that Wilton is for real. I was impressed with SK and think they will beat Wilton in week #9. I don't see anyone else beating Wilton as the District is otherwise weak.

Regals will have there hands full vs the Beavers. I think the Beavers will hang around until midway through the 3rd. Regina's team speed is not where it has been & I believe Wilton has the edge on the speed game.

My interpretation is that it is progressive. Anyone with a 3-way tie for first appears to have the upper hand.
