Some super- competitive games are on tap for Friday night, Dec. 11. Waukee plays at Ankeny and would have to be favored, but these back-yard rivalries can be intense. North Scott, one of the best young teams in the East, plays at Dav. Assumption, and I have to go with the Lancers, but no surprise if the Knights pull it out on their home court. Maquoketa at Dyersville Beckman may be too close to call. Central Lyon will have its troubles downing Boyden-Hull on their court, I think. And which Dallas Center- Grimes team shows up when Norwalk comes calling? I'll go with DC- G. Muscatine at Davenport Central is another hot one in the MAC. Weiskamp and crew against a tough Blue Devil outfit. I think it is too close to call. Dub. Wahlert travels to Dub. Hempstead, and the Mustangs' Moody Gym is a spot where the Eagles often struggle against the Mustangs' three-point shooters. A veteran Council Bluffs Lincoln team is at a veteran Sergeant Bluff Luten's home gym in a very interesting match which may be too close to call. Western Christian has to travel to Spirit Lake in the night's spotlight game, and I figure each of these talented teams wins on its home court, but we'll see. The last game that I'll mention is a dynamite match-up between CR Kennedy and their host, CR Xavier. Tough to predict, but I'll' give the nod to the home team, the Saints. Hope everybody posts their updates, comments and scores. I'll come home after the game and be happy to catch up on all the action on this site, or one of Luke's other threads. What games are you anxious to see?
