#14 Cedar Falls @ #4 CR Washington

These two teams have had opposite seasons as CR Washington took an early season loss but have played very well since. Cedar Falls started out quite well and have had some stumbles down the stretch. I think it will be a good one but CR Washington led by Vogel and a balanced attack get the win at home. CR Washington wins 31-17.


#16 Lewis Central @ #11 Urbandale

Lewis Central is wanting to gain some respect for the western Iowa big schools in this one against Urbandale. However Reis and company have been tough at home all year. I think this one is close in the first half but Urbandale builds the lead in the second half and don’t look back. Urbandale 35-17 win.

It hasn't seemed to matter who has played QB for Washington in their last few games. They're set at that position for the next couple years with a real good soph who came in a couple weeks ago out of necessity and played well.

Games-- Winner

Ames (4-5) vs. #9 Valley, WDM (7-2)-- Valley Wins pretty easily with all of the injury issues with Ames. Interesting if Ames had all of their horses.

#14 Cedar Falls (6-3) vs. #4 Cedar Rapids, Washington (8-1)-- CR Washington This game will be won in the end. Cedar Falls will come to play, but Washington barely hangs on.

Clinton (5-4) vs. #3 Cedar Rapids, Kennedy (9-0)-- CR Kennedy Kennedy has looked good all season and they will keep it going.

Davenport, North (1-8) vs. #1 Bettendorf (9-0)-- Bettendorf Blowout Alert!!!

Des Moines, East (5-4) vs. #10 Ankeny Centennial (7-2)-- Ankeny Centennial Call me crazy but I think East hangs around for a little while in the first half, but Centennial will put it on in the second half.

Des Moines, Hoover (6-3) vs. #7 Johnston (7-2)-- Johnston I have liked what I have seen out of Hoover this year, but Johnston will run all over them

Des Moines, Lincoln (4-5) vs. #2 Dowling Catholic, WDM (8-0)- Dowling Huge Blowout Alert!!!

Dubuque, Hempstead (6-3) vs. North Scott (4-5)-- North Scott I have a feeling that North Scott comes to play since it is the playoffs and they spring the upset.

Dubuque, Senior (4-5) vs. #13 Cedar Rapids, Jefferson (6-3)-- CR Jefferson Jefferson will surprise many people during the playoffs.

#12 Fort Dodge (7-2) vs. Southeast Polk (5-4)-- Fort Dodge SE Polk looked terrible last Friday and I think Fort Dodge pounds out many scores on the Rams

Indianola (5-4) vs. #5 Ankeny (8-1)-- Ankeny Ankeny has looked great all season, but Indianola can stay around for awhile in this one

#16 Lewis Central (6-3) vs. #11 Urbandale (6-3)-- Lewis Central. Urbandale has been really up and down this season. I think Lewis Central and their defense will slow down Urbandale and it will be a low scoring game.

Linn-Mar, Marion (4-5) vs. #15 Iowa City, City High (6-3)-- IC High This is kind of a middle of the road game. I'm just going with the home team in this one.

Muscatine (6-3) vs. #8 Pleasant Valley (7-2)-- Pleasant Valley Although Pleasant Valley hasn't looked as good this year I think they can go far in the playoffs

Prairie, Cedar Rapids (4-5) vs. Iowa City, West (3-6)-- IC West P U what stinks? It is this game and I will take the Trojans just because I think they have better athletes.

Sioux City, East (5-4) vs. #6 Waukee (7-2)-- Waukee I think that Waukee is hitting their stride at the right time. Watch out for them getting back to the dome
