looks like the state cared more about first round geography then getting the tops teams their own quadrant, UnionFootballFan I agreed with you on not being sold on Dike as a dome team this year. But then I saw the bracket and saw that it is very favorable to them

Its a shame NFV and Union have to meet before the dome. I wonder if the season game wasn't so lopsided if this would have been matched differently. I've seen both and I have to tell you game one was a shock to me as Union is an outstanding HS football team. So is NFV however I doubt this won't be a much better game next time around.

Agreed, I think NFV is the better team, but is not 35 points better. NFV is probably 2 touchdowns better than Union. With that being said, a couple big plays and some NFV turnovers, this could be different outcome. Both teams are definitely top 5 in 2A and should be playing in Cedar Falls.

Union, NFV, and Mt. Vernon are my top 3 teams. Dike is a few steps behind them at #4

Thinking back to last year, I remember NFV really putting it on Waukon during the regular season and then Waukon played them very close in the playoffs. Not saying this is gonna happen again, but you never know with those rematches. Especially with a team as talented as Union.

It sounds like New Hampton did play them tough, only losing by 14. Sounds like it was a very physical game.
