Any interesting things happen or scores? Also anybody who impressed or anybody who did not play up to expectations?

For all the deserving talk with Tri Center and Westwood on some posts neither showed up. Many other teams would have given South O Brien and Woodbury Central better games with same or worse records (Gehlen, Hinton, St Alberts etc) This happens every year and it is what it is but they combined to lose 70-7. Not impressed.
Everything played out as many would expect.
Gotta be impressed with that MFL MarMac performance beating South Winneshiek 60-24. I heard on the radio they had nearly 600 yds of offense against SW and held Jacob Herold (SW QB) and the state's top passing team to only 116 yards passing, 0 passing TD's and 2 interceptions.
Also that North Tama game was way closer than everyone would have expected but heard North Tama QB dislocated his knee.

I’m guessing the weather played a factor in that game without a doubt. That game say as a semi finals game pry would be the opposite score. Passing teams will always struggle in playoff games outside the dome with Iowa fall weather come late October early November
I would agree about it greatly affects the passing game for sure but I wouldn’t go as far to say the scores would be opposite I think MFL still would win comfortably. No doubt though part of that score was weather affecting SW passing game.
Weather didn't affect MFL's passing game, they were 8/9 for 158 yds and 2 TDs and as far as I know they played on the same field under in the same conditions last night........
That and they played each other in week #1 and Herold only threw for 1 TD and had 2 INTs against them under perfect weather conditions......
Okay thank you. Was just saying I could see how weather could effect passing game. Interested to see how MFL turns out with no real playoff experience.
Wow that’s surprising. I definitely figured weather played a factor from that score. Appreciate the correction
I was suprised to see IKM score a couple times vs WH. were those scores late? or did they actually score when game was in doubt? IKM came from a very weak district.

West hancock was only up 16-14 until they scored twice toward the end of the first half.

Pretty sure both scores they had were in the first quarter. Also turned it over on downs like within the three yard line in the first quarter.
