Roosevelt started to get frustrated after getting shut out all game. Players and coaches started talking smack to SEP players and refs. Had a 2nd and 40 at one point in time. The next play, the Roosevelt ball carrier got hit pretty hard and the coaches and players didnt like it. One player started throwing punches. Coaches had 4 or 5 penalties against them during the game for talking. Not setting a very good example. They've got some work to do. SEP came to play.

If that happened there will be consequences. The ejected kid will not be able to play first round of playoffs, correct? If coach was ejected can he coach next game?

the player and coach are required to miss the next scheduled game, in this case the first round playoff game.

I anxiously am awaiting a statement from the Des Moines School District that both player and coach have apologized and they are now waiting for the refs, IAHSAA and SEP to admit to their errors...

Even if that was to happen, the IAHSSA may do an investigation if any, that would takes weeks if not months to do. In the end they won't issue one.

Roosevelt on the other hand may issue one and may apply a stricter penalty to those involved as the Coach is employed by them

In these types of situations the IHSAA has (IMO correctly) left any school “apology” or statement up to the school’s administration.
