Let the games begin, no real surprises in the brackets. What is the breakdown on Mepo? What is the field like?

It’s turf running north/south. Probably some of the better facilities around for size of school. By the way I called it last night when our game went final. Told a few people it would be a home game vs Regina.

Dang public schools getting all the good facilities ;)
Any good hole in the wall places in the area to grab a pre game bite to eat or drink?

i have a fairly solid sense of direction when it comes to cold drinks and good food lol
Mepo is doing a silent auction tonight at the volleyball game for the suite for Friday night’s game. You get pizza, water, Gatorade and pop plus heat. Want to split it? Fits 10-12.

I see a game between Mepo and Regina going down to the wire. Would like to see an advantage checked for each category to one team or another.. and go.
Special Teams: Mepo or Regina
Defense: Mepo or Regina
Offense: Mepo or Regina

Special Teams: Mepo or Regina
Defense: Mepo or Regina
Offense: Mepo or Regina
Going purely by Quik Stats
Rush Offense: Mediapolis 8.8 ypc, 296.7 ypg, Regina 4.7 ypc, 149.9 ypg
Pass Offense: Mediapolis 18 ypc, 92 ypg, Regina 13 ypc, 224 ypg
Total Offense: Mediapolis 8.8 ypp, 389 ypg, 6.0 ypp, 374 ypg
Scoring Offense: Mediapolis 44 ppg, Regina 33 ppg

Rush Defense:
Pass Defense:
Turnovers Forced: Mediapolis 23 (15 int, 8 fumbles), Regina 17 (10 int, 7 fumbles)
Tackles for Loss/Sacks: Mediapolis 100.5/10, Regina 10/9 (can’t be right)
Total Defense:
Scoring Defense: Mediapolis 10.88 ppg, Regina 22.67 ppg

Special Teams: Mediapolis 2 return tds, Regina 0 return tds, punting Mediapolis 39.1 ypp, Regina 34.7 ypp, kickoffs Mediapolis 0 touchbacks, Regina 33 touchbacks, kickoff returns Mediapolis 20.7, Regina 12.2, punt returns Mediapolis 27.6, Regina 3.6, PAT Mediapolis 77.4%, Regina 92.3%, FG Mediapolis 0, Regina 7/8.

Offense: Push, with weather Mepo

Defense: Mepo based on scoring and turnovers, will take a little bit to figure up yardage

Special Teams: Push, Mepo better returns and punting, Regina better kickoffs and place kicking
Disclaimer: Regina played a harder schedule.
Outcome: 1 possession game, winner is team who plays cleanest game (i.e. turnovers, penalties), weather could be a factor.

Great breakdown! It could come down to a field goal at the end. I think this has a chance to be the best game of the first round.

Other than regina kickoffs and place kicking, Regina's special teams seem terrible. The Iowa equivalent of kick and punt returns?
