I know there is still another remaining week but I am predicting the playoff qualifiers with outcomes through week 9, the final RPI, and playoff pairings, so here we go:
Districts
D1- Dowling* (5-0, 8-1), Ankeny (4-1, 6-3), SC East (3-2, 6-3)
D2- Centennial (5-0, 8-1), SE Polk (4-1, 7-2), Roosevelt (3-2, 6-3), Fort Dodge (2-3, 6-3), Marshalltown (1-4, 5-4)
D3- Cedar Falls (5-0, 9-0), Prairie (4-1, 6-3), Dub. Senior (3-2, 6-3), CR Jefferson (2-3, 4-5)
D4- Linn-Mar (5-0, 7-2)
D5- Kennedy (5-0, 8-1), Bettendorf (4-1, 7-2)
D6- Waukee (5-0, 6-3), Indianola (4-1, 6-3), Johnston (3-2, 4-5)
D7- Valley (5-0, 9-0), Urbandale (4-1, 6-3), Ames (3-2, 4-5)

RPI
1. Cedar Falls*
2. Valley*
3. Centennial*
4. Dowling*
5. Kennedy*
6. SE Polk
7. Prairie
8. Ankeny
9. Linn-Mar*
10. Bettendorf
11. Dub. Senior
12. Waukee*
13 Roosevelt
14. Fort Dodge
15. Indianola
16. Urbandale
First Four Out.. SC East, Marshalltown, Johnston, CR Jefferson

Pairings
Bracket #1
Indianola @ Valley
Ankeny @ Waukee

Bracket #2
Fort Dodge @ Centennial
Bettendorf @ SE Polk

Bracket #3
Urbandale @ Cedar Falls
Prairie @ Linn-Mar

Bracket #4
Roosevelt @ Dowling
Dub. Senior @ Kennedy

Dowling would get the #3 seed, and Centennial #4 by virtue of Dowling’s head-to-head win over Centennial.

No chance Bracket 2 happens. Bettendorf cannot be bracketed with a chance to play Fort Dodge.

1. I don't have Johnston or Ames in the playoffs.
2. I forgot the head to head but it really doesn't change my bracket besides switch to where Dowling would be paired on the same side as Valley and just the spot in the RPI .
3. I could see Bettendorf and Prairie switching spots in my scenario. Maybe the state rolls the dice saying Fort Dodge has no chance to win but I would say doubtful.

Thanks for the insight!

CF is NOT going to finish #1. District opponents games will wash out at 5-5, coming down to non-district.

CF non-district & remaining opponents (4-4)
Opponents currently (32-31)

District Opponents Remaining (5-5)
Total (41-40)

Ames (0-2)
Valley - Loss
Urbandale - Loss

IC High (0-2)
Linn-Mar - Loss
IC West - Loss

Ankeny (2-0)
SC North - Win
SC East - Win

Bett (2-0)
Dav West - Win
Dav Central - Win

Valley non-district & remaining opponents (8-0)
Opponents currently (32-31)
District Opponents Remaining (5-5)
Total (45-36)

SE Polk (2-0)
M-Town - Win
Roosevelt - Win

Dowling (2-0)
DM Hoover - Win
SC North - Win

CR Kennedy (2-0)
Dav Central - Win
Burlington - Win

Waukee (2-0)
Indianola - Win
Johnston - Win

That is 4 game difference in opponents records. Even if IC High and Ames somehow sneak out a win then that is still a 2 game difference which will be too much to overcome.

If Heelan beats Spencer or CB-AL beats TJ, SC East jumps Indy. The bump comes from the fact that SC East plays Dowling and Ankeny, which played most of the top ranked teams in 4A.
