It'll be interesting how losing McDonald will impact New Hampton, they are a run based team, but he was more than they QB.

I also think Hampton Dumont is probably deserving of a top 10 ranking with what they return

Don't know much about Williamsburg except looking at Quik Stats and seeing how much they lose compared to Mediapolis. I do think that district will come down to them, unfortunately they play Week 3 instead of later. I'll take Mepo since the game is @ Mediapolis and by who returns what players. Trying not to be a homer though. I do think 2A is down this year compared to years past.

I'd probably put Albia up there - maybe even in the top five. They actually had a pretty young team I heard last year that made the state semi finals. I know they return most of their defense.

Carroll-K lost a ton from last year, and I've heard that there is not a lot of bodies to replace them. Plus I know of one key kid who elected not to play this year?

IMO district 1 should have 3 ranked teams. Sioux Center, CL/GLR, and Spirit Lake are all capable of winning the district. I believe that CL/GLR has two of the best junior athletes in the state and will come out on top in district 1. To bad all three of these teams will have to go through each other to get to the dome.

I agree OC district 1 is loaded on the top end with Sioux Center, Spirit Lake, and CL/GLR. I feel they finish like this.....CL/GLR(my preseason state championship pick), Sioux Center, and then Spirit Lake.

I always thought the key to nh season was line play, so I think that is a bigger question then QB, I didn't get out to the scrimmage not that it really shows anything, as long as the QB make smart decisions then they should be okay
