Final 4???

Predicting a final 4 is a bit harder this year since there will be no brackets to look at what dist pairs up anymore. That being said who out of each dist. has a shot at final 4?

D1- Heelan, no one else
D2- Carroll, no one else
D3- West Delaware, Decorah (i know they have struggled at times but never count them out)
D4- Xavier, Solon, Western Dubuque (if they can knock off Xavier they can make it there)
D5- Assumption, not sure CCA has enough or Washington
D6- Long shot would be Newton, Ballard has fallen last 2 weeks, Gilbert is QBless,
D7-Pella, Carlisle
D8- Really dont think anyone in this district has enough to make a run at final 4.

Thoughts?

Of course things change especially if D8 and D6 happen to get mostly paired up which could happen.

Dont think Heelan and Carroll can both make it because of travel distance in play and who else is around them to play. Guessing they will Play in a Quarterfinal game.

I could see a Pella vs Assumption Quarterfinal game also. But then a Newton or DCG would have to make it to final 4 most likely. Too many teams in Central Iowa not to have 1 come from that area if Pella goes was east to Assumption.

It is hard to tell this year with the state deciding the matchups. Not sure who will end up where. Sounds like it all depends on the 125 mile barometer.

Pella is 106 miles from Cedar Rapids
Pella is 147 miles from Davenport.
Manchester is 105 miles from Davenport

I think Pella -- Xavier may happen in quarterfinals and is certainly possilbe. That would be a quite a quarterfinal match-up. They probably are both good enough to get to the dome and make some noise, so that would be a shame if one of them bows out ahead of them, but that is the way it goes each year.

NW Iowa will be Carroll or Heelan
NE Iowa will probably be West Delaware
Eastern/SE Iowa will probably be Xavier
Central/SW Iowa will probably be Pella (unless they go east), if so then I'd say Carlisle or Dallas-Center Grimes.

With Final being
Heelan vs Xavier


Will have a more accurate guesstimation once they bring out the bracket.
