Our brilliant athletic union has Spirit Lake ,Sioux Center, and CL-GLR playing each other early. Those three teams should be at the dome.

And what is Boone supposed to do when three quality teams are in one corner of the state. I'm guessing Sioux Center will get another crack at Spirit Lake in the quarters. Good Luck to the Warriors and run the table so I can say my Clear Lake Lions were knocked out by the eventual state champs.

Powerwagon even under old system Sp Lake would have at least played Central Lyon in this round. Sioux Center will play Spirit Lake under new format and would have under old format. Should be a hell of a game Friday night in Sp Lake.

This game was fantastic. Sioux Center scored a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter thanks to some big plays and a lucky break; Hooyer busted off a 60+ yard run before Diercks ran him down and forced a fumble around the 10 yard line that luckily rolled out of bounds at the 2. I thought it was going to get out of the end zone for a touchback at first. Sioux Center's defense also came up big with a goal line stand in the final minute to preserve the win.

Really wish there was a way to split up Spirit Lake and Sioux Center, as I firmly believe the winner will roll at the Dome. But I'm looking forward to making the trip to Spirit Lake from Des Moines on Friday, nonetheless.
