They played pretty bad yesterday and still grinder out a win. I see them knocking off Danville and then making an interesting final with GLadbrook. Two teams with different philosophies. I think MVAO takes it all. OF course I could be wrong. These guys have been under the radar all year. They beat a very good IKM Manning team by 15 this season. They seem to be getting little buzz down in Des Moines. We shall see.

MVAO will not win it all. Not sure anyone can touch GR. GR is good enough to win 2A. Hopefully Danville makes the final so it is at least somewhat up and down and fun to watch.

Your response is pretty ehh. Goes to show you only understand one style of basketball. Good luck to you though.

Lol we will see, but I'm pretty sure he's right. GR is beating GOOD teams by 20, and all rested by 4th.

WhiteShawdow you could be right. If MVAO controls the tempo they could have a shot at G-R. I watched Jesup nearly knockoff G-R in the regular season by slowing the tempo and I believe MVAO is a bit better than Jesup.

I find it funny you think Danville is so beatable and GR are the only ones standing between your team and the Championship. Did you even look at the first round box scores and compare how our respective teams did? Guess what? Danville didn't have a stellar game either, our starting post sat most of the game, I've seen us play much better. We have too many kids scoring and are so much deeper. AND our defense at #5 is almost as good as yours at #2, according to BCMoore. Good luck to the remaining four teams...we'll see who sets the tempo this next round. My bet is on Danville and GR in the Championship.

MVAO isn't my team. Just think they play well regardless of tempo. They are an uptempo team when need be. Efficient always. Not gonna look at box scores and stats to make comparisons.

Nodaway Valley is not the team they have been in past years. Much less balanced and not as good defensively. GR may be good, but first round wasn't the place to make that conclusion.

MVAO only loss came on the road to 3A substate qualifer Denison-Schleswig who was upset or would have qualified. Other quality wins against CBSA, Ar-We-Va, SOS, and IKM-Manning.
Earhlam's 2 losses came to 5 loss 2A teams one of which they played without their leading scorer.
GR has a great win over AP and is averaging a 26 point win.
Danville again ran through the conference, either because of talent or their coach is better, or both. Best win is BND (opponent not game).

All four teams seem deserving to me. SOS was also very good. All teams have been tested in the regular season.

Will be an interesting matchup in the finals. Gladbrook, who has some absolute studs at guard versus a gritty Maple Valley team who refuses to lose. Will be a fun matchup.

BCMOORE is fun to look at. It's any easy way to rank all teams without actually seeing them. Not necessarily any better than if an actual person had the time to do it. Based on watching Earlham and Belle Plaine, where except for about a 4 min. stretch in the second quarter when BP went a little sideways I thought those teams were pretty evenly matched. So based on that and BCMOORE ranking of BP in the 30's I expected GR to blow Earlham out. Earlham is good. Gave GR a battle. So that makes me guess BP is probably better than what BCMOORE says they are. Don't know how the consolation game will go. Usually depends on what team is happy to play it. Great year by Danville though.
