Districts out tomorrow? Could be very interesting, especially in NW Iowa...
Indeed it is. We got screwed. We’re 11-2 playing a predominately 2A-3A schedule and South O is in the same boat. Two top 5 teams. Meanwhile our counterpart in our conference, Lake Mills, has the easiest District ever and one of the easier substate matchups. It is what it is though. I have confidence in our team and I believe we can get the job done. South O’Brien’s strength seems to be there size but we are bigger then they are so hopefully that’ll really throw them out of rhythm. Newell will be very tough to get by as well. That’s an ouch for South O Brien and Garrigan to line up at substate.

Very true we were the beneficiaries of this last season. I would argue though that 19-2 Newman was a tough 2 seed and Janesville had a good record as wellKinda of like last year Garrigan was the beneficiary of the easiest path to state while a 20-3 GLR team and a 19-4 S.Obrien team met in a district final. While also a 16-6 RSM team got an easy path to sub state. It's just the way it goes some years. Have to beat everyone at some point. But yes draws help and some teams seem to always get better paths than others. It would help if the Iahsaa actually did their own rankings and put one out each week and then it would be cut and dry. But that would require some effort on their part.
