District Pairings and Possible New Teams?

I saw that the pairings will be out by February 5th according to the board meeting last night. Hoping that holds true.

And, is there any news on some teams dropping down to 8 man this year? I know Sidney is moving up, so is there news on teams moving up to A?

It appears some districts look very similar with some minor swaps here and there.

Competitive balance......concerns for 4a? Are there many freshman on 4a teams starting against a team of seniors. 8 man teams with 20 kids start freshman, that play against teams with 45 players. Thats where the biggest competitive balance problem exists. Along with concerns for safety.

If they were concerned they would split 8 man. Or lower the beds number. And bump the private schools up.

Have you seen the bad metro teams? They have small rosters, physically small players, and are a combined 0-120ish the past 10 years vs the quality metro teams. The degradation and chance for injury is much higher in those schools. You have teams that may play at a 1A/2A level vs teams with legitimate D1 talent, size, and physicality
