The more I look at what teams return next year, the more I think this could be a very good and competitive district next year. I'm not sure there will be a big-time title contender, but there will a lot solid teams that will be battle tested. Besides WCV every team brings back quite a bit.
Carroll Kuemper- Return 2 QB's with experience and 2 good WR's...need to find a RB. They have a lot of good athletes.
Clarinda- Return their spinback and best receiver, also return a few good backs with some experience. Lost a lot on the line and losing Kettwick & Strong hurts, but they will be solid again.
East Sac- Lost a good QB but bring back Snyder at RB and they bring back a ton on Defense. They will be tough if they find a QB.
Red Oak- Return QB, RB who led district in yards, and best WR. If they can put a decent line together they will be much improved.
Shenandoah- Bring back almost everything including QB, RB's, and WR's. Big loss on Defense in Valquier but they will be much improved.
Southeast Valley- Return 1st team all-district QB, a couple good RB's, and 3 best WR's. Also return quite a bit on defense and I've heard they have some big young linemen coming up from the JV team that was pretty good last year...they should be solid next year.
