Did Bosco do this??

Reports say that Bosco had a huge lead on EV as time was about to expire. The referee told EV defense that DB was taking a knee and not to fire off (Very common to prevent injury and/or altercations as the game is already decided) The ball was then snapped. EV relaxed as instructed, and DB threw a long TD pass as time expired to run the score up even more.

Just having a hard time believing that and looking for some clarification from someone who was actually there and knows what actually occurred.

Thanks

100% not true. It was 4th down, they couldn’t take a knee & to much time still on the clock. They needed one more 1st down to run out the clock. It was a short pass that wasn’t well covered & resulted in a TD. Had it been covered well it would have only been a 1st down and the end of the game on the next plays where DB would have then been able to take a knee.

So being up by 32 late in the game, with the starters in, they pass to get the first down but instead turn it into a TD. But did the refs tell EV to relax? Still a little fishy but the lesson is don't let up. Starters vs starters I assume, it is a little strange but with Bosco, always assume they are going for it on 4th no matter the score no matter the time.
