Davenport Assumption Knights NEW Uniform ?

Did Davenport Assumption Knights (Class 3A, District 5) get a new away uniform this season? Or is this uniform a one time thing? I am hoping more people have more information about this uniform because I haven't seen it before until last night's game.

I noticed during the Davenport Assumption Knights and Bettendorf Bulldogs game last night at TouVelle Stadium, Assumption wore a white uniform with white numbering outlined in black. From the stands as a fan it was hard to see the numbers on the uniform. During the radio broadcast, the broadcasters also complained about not seeing the numbers on the uniforms.

I did see one sports writer on Twitter commenting on how difficult it was at times to make out the numbers.

I have heard other teams have gone to this type of uniform in other states. Apparently it is legal, but like others have said it is difficult to make out the numbers.

My son watched the Hudl film on Fridays game. You can't make out any numbers at all.

The uniforms look cool, but are a pain for spectators and scouting. However, they are legal. According to the NFHS rule book, numbers can either be a contrasting color to the main body of the jersey (so what we normally see...black uniforms with white numbers or some other contrasting color). OR the numbers can be the same color as the main body of the jersey as long as they have a 1/4" border around the number in a contrasting color.

Davenport Assumption went back to their old away uniforms, the one I remembered them wearing last year for their week 2 game (9/4) against Cedar Rapids Xavier at Saints Field in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

So, I believe they probably won't be wearing those new uniforms that they wore in week 1 (8/28) against Bettendorf as it was hard to see by fans, scouts, broadcasters and in videos.
