D7 Picks week 9/11

Was 6-1 last week, Carlisle had an offensive explosion and took it to Bondurant-Farrar. Nice bounce back after the DCG game in week #1.

Lets do this thing again:


District 7
Carlisle at Norwalk -- Norwalk had a very nice game last week in steam rolling Winterset. Carlisle had a great game against B-F as well. Norwalk is on a roll but could be looking ahead towards hosting Pella next week. But, I think they will take care of business and head into the potential district title matchup next week. Norwalk 35 Carlisle 21

Chariton at Saydel -- Break up the Chargers!! Just like the first two weeks, they will steamroll this week. Saydel has some punch this year, but don't have the horses to keep up with Chariton. Chariton 42 Saydel 14

Fairfield at Knoxville ( (ND)) -- Fairfield got slobber knocked by Albia last week, but the Blue Demons are one of the best 2A teams out there. Knoxville beat a not very good Centerville team. This is a great matchup that went down to the wire last year. Fairfield's QB has a great arm and is a tough kid. Knoxville is rushing the ball very well. I will go with the rushing team. Oskaloosa at Pella -- This game has a chance to be close if Pella is totally basking in last week's win at DCG and looking ahead to going to Norwalk next week. Even then, I don't think it would be close. This one will be over at halftime. Pella 49 Oskaloosa 7

I'll jump in here.

Carlisle at Norwalk — I really think Norwalk is up there with Pella in that first tier. Norwalk 35 Carlisle 14
Chariton at Saydel — Interested to see how close Chariton is to Carlisle and Pella this year, but it will take a while to know. Chariton 42 Saydel 14.
Fairfield at Knoxville — If you want to go see a good, close game this week, I think this is it. I'll take the Panthers. Knoxville 28 Fairfield 27.
Osky at Pella — Pella is just an unstoppable powerhouse. With Osky, I'll be more interested to see if they can upset someone in the middle tier of Carlisle/Kville/Chariton. Pella 48 Osky 8.
