D2 Preview

To me this might be the deepest district in the state a lot of returning talent off of some good teams. My best educated guess is this.

Webster City
Ballard
DCG
Gilbert
Iowa Falls Alden
Boone
Greene County
Perry

Webster City loses some studs but I think they return enough to win the district, they are always well coached and the single wing can be very hard to defend. Ballard returns almost everyone off a team that won a playoff game. DCG loses some big pieces but I think brings back enough to still challenge for a district title. Gilbert is the 4th really good team here, I put them here because they just lose more than others in the district but still a really good team. Iowa Falls is another quality team returning quite a bit from a 2A playoff team but I don't think they have the horses to move ahead of anyone. Boone brings back the most of the final 3, and then I think Greene County is a better program than Perry.

I agree on the top 4 teams but would not rank them at this point. Any of the four could win the district. My sleeper team is Boone. They return some studs including a QB and receiver that will be tough to defend.
