Alta/Aurelia

2015: 2-7
Lose 11 Seniors

Outlook: Alta/Aurelia struggled last year and lose their top back and QB. They will have a tough go of it in D1. Alta will fall near the bottom of D1.

Emmetsburg
2015: 5-5
Lose 8 Seniors

Outlook: Emmetsburg returns a large junior class and their top two backs. Thomas Schultes was a load last year and I expect he will lead their offense in touches this fall. Emmetsburg also returns alot on defense.

Hinton
2015:10-2
Lose 12 Seniors

Outlook: With both of their losses coming against Western last year Hinton will be looking for some revenge. They return one of the top athletes in the district in QB Jay Small, but lose some lineman and skilled players around him. Bishop will anchor the defense. Hinton should battle for the district title.

Okoboji
2015: 4-5
Lose 7 Seniors

Outlook: Okoboji is dropping down from 2A. They have struggled for many years but have shown improvements recently. Their QB Eckard is back but he loses their top RB and the top target at WR in Heller. Boji will need someone to step up in the backfield.

Sibley Ocheyedan
2015: 3-6
Lose 11 Seniors

Outlook: Sibley was a very athletic and talented team last year, but could not put the pieces together. We will see how they fair with a new coach this fall. They return plenty of talent including QB Garrett Sayler. They also return alot on D. Sibley may be the sleeper/surprise team of the district.

Unity Christian
2015: 2-7
Lose 13 Seniors

Outlook: Unity returns their starting QB, but lose some of his weapons including RB Levi Schoonhoven. Unity will need some underclassmen to step up if they want to compete for a playoff spot.

West Lyon
2015: 6-4
Lose 13 Seniors

Outlook: West Lyon had an up and down year. They were very young and will count on these younger players to step up big next year. WL returns their QB and their entire backfield. The big question marks will be who steps up on the line?

Western Christian
2015:11-3
Lose 13 Seniors

Outlook: Western loses 13 seniors from their state runner up team, but also return 20 juniors. Among these returning juniors is all state QB Tyson Kooima. Western will need to replace 3 of their top 4 receivers along with 7 of their 11 starters on defense and three solid players on the OL.

Nice preview Hawk...I am from A/A country and you got them pegged perfectly. Until the coaches realize that the best chance they have to win games is thru the "air" they will struggle to win any game in 2016.
