Gehlen Catholic (5-3) vs Hartley Melvin Sanborn (4-4)
- GC lost 6-16 vs Hinton
- HMS won big against MMCRU
Prediction: Gehlen Catholic 28 - 18 Hartley Melvin Sanborn

Hinton (6-2) vs South O'Brien (7-1)
- Hinton with a nice win over GC
- SOHS with a shutout against Akron
- Will be a battle in the trenches
- I am not up to date on the RPI but I would assume both teams NEED this win to make playoffs

Currently, South OBrien is at 11. Hinton is at 13 in the RPI standings. Hinton for sure needs to win. South Obrien could maybe weather a loss and still get in but that's unlikely.

This is what I discovered with a little research, Districts 2 and 8 will have a distict champion and a playoff spot with no teams currently in the top 16 in RPI. So that's fun.

Also, in district 6, Belle Plain should win the district, but BGM is much higher in the RPI so they will most likely have two spots. Although they are both top 16 teams.

So, this Leaves less space for two teams from other districts.

those RPI stadnings are based on week 7 the latest come out this afternoon, which give a clearer picture, but I agree with the scenario you stated SOB prob in either way, Hitnon prob needs a win to assure a spot
